Introducing Jack Cecil

I was born and raised in a small rural town in the majestic mountains of Virginia I’m originally from Tazwell, Virginia, raised by JoAnne and Jack Cecil. My mother was a school teacher and my dad was an engineer and a builder. My dad was a very successful building contractor and entrepreneur and I grew up in the business and actually started working in the family business when I was 14 years old. I worked my way up in the company and after several years of tutilage by my father, ran the company as President and CEO for 20 years after my dad and I parted ways for personal reasons.

After leaving the family business I was fortunate enough to work for several different highly respected and successful companies. I was in the insurance business for 6 years as a broker and an agent as well as the management consulting business for 4 years before getting back into the construction industry and have continued to remain in the industry for the last 16 years.

As far as my music background is concerned, my mother says that I actually started talking in complete sentences around the age of 10 months old and began singing on key at the age of around 13 or 14 months old. I sang and performed in church and school functions from the age of 4 or 5 years old until
I graduated from high school.
